2014 NEC Classic Motor Show

The NEC Classic Motor Show was among the most successful that the Club has enjoyed in recent years. The re-launch of the Rover P6 was extremely successful with Danny Hopkins and Sam Glover of Practical Classics, joined by the Evans Waterless Coolant models unveiled the car. Ex Rover Company engineers Peter Willmer, Denis Chick and Lyn Thomas joined in the event. Peter, Denis and Lyn were part of the team who helped make the Rover P6 what it was in 1963, a car with such longevity that it survives 50 years later with a growing enthusiasm as witnessed by the growth of the Club.

The classic car press were notified by email and twitter and came to see the re-launch. They were interested in the Rover P6, the technology that it represents, the Club support to members, and were astonished by the growth of the Club both in the UK and overseas.

The weekend completed on a high note for the Club when for the second year running we won our second Classic & Sports Car Magazine Club Award. This year Michael Allen won the award for "Best Contribution by a Youngster".
