1971 Rover 2000SC with only 3161 miles For Sale

Yes just 3161 miles on the clock and one very careful Lady owner 

Finished in beautiful Brigade Red with a Buckskin leather interior

This is the genuine mccoy with all but 2 MOT certificates to proove it. She aslo comes with nearly all of her tax discs having been continuously taxed from the 1st November 1971 to the end of December 2010. She is MOT'd until 2nd January 2011. This car is one of the first proper Series 2 Rover 2000sc with a low number 436 numbered 2lt engine which runs as smooth as silk, truely graceful. The  car drives very well, even allowing for the original Dunlop SP Sport tyres which are fitted and still have plenty of tread. The spare is brand new and has never been out of the boot since 1971 when it was put in there at the factory. The car also comes complete with a personal number plate worth over £2000.

The car has never been welded and isn't going to need any for a long time because of the rubberised underseal which was applied under the car when new. The window to door seals are perfect and not cracked or faded in any way. The back seats look like they have never been sat on although the front seats need a clean as does the drivers door card. The remaining trim is like new including the Irwin Harness seat belts and super shiney seat runners. The owner ran an automotive service business and therefore the car has been exceedingly well looked after and is worth every penny of the £8,000 being asked for (Including the personal plate), what a bargain.

There are a few minor details whcih stop this car from commanding a £10 price tag and they include a slight blemish in the paintwork on the top edge of the bonnet by the wipers, the suspension could do with a coat of black paint, the bumpers and light clusters along with some of the other chromework has signs of damp attach and has some pitting. The flitches could do with a layer of fresh paint, but the car is a real looker and she is on the road ready to go. Finally the rear n/s door had a fresh coat of paint about 30 years ago after the paintwork on the door got scratched while in the workshop. This panel and paint is as you can see in the pictures a perfect match and doesn't detract in any way.This is a lot of car for just £8,000 and worth every penny, Personal plate, extreme low mileage, bright Brigade Red Paint, taxed, tested, full history, one careful Lady owner, what more could you ask. FOR SALE 1975 ROVER 2200SC AUTO

Registered 9/7/75 this 2200Automatic in Almond has been owned by one family from new and was only taken off the road in June 2010 when MOT expired, upto then was used everyday. Good driver. The car has always been professionally maintained and in recent years has had various works carried out as follows:-

1993 New wing panles and a complete respray

1998 New Torque Converter

2004 Repair work to sills and lower door panels, Near side floor welded

2005 New Master Cylinder, Brake Servo, Water Pump, Carburettor rebuilt with new seal kit and front suspension joints replaced

2007 Alternator replaced and rear suspension De-Dion elbows replaced.

In 2010 the car failed its MOT because of a leaking rear caliper.

The cars needs attention to the bodywork, rear wings and lower doors but is otherwise in good condition. Sills are all good.

The mileage on the clock is 9200 but  this is incorrect as the counter is not working, the car has donealot more miles. The clock is a replacement and not original.

PARTS FOR SALE I have recently had to scrap my rover 3500s but I do have some body panels for sale at a reasonable price.

GARAGE CLEARANCE. Ally bonnet from early Rover 2000TC. No dents but in dire need of re-spray. Sound insulation missing. Also available boot lid complete with spare wheel attachment and all fittings as well as wheel cover for in the boot, a box of lights, switches and small bits etc., a steering wheel, hub caps, rubber dashboard mats, and I think that I even have a steering box.I just need to clear the garage, hence low price of £40.00 the lot email (aug2010priv)
