• FOR SALE -1974 ROVER P6 3500S first registered on 4th January 1974. The car is lunar grey with a black leather interior and it has a very interesting P6 related registration number KXC 1H however the car doesn’t appear to be a factory registered car. The car needs welding to the D posts and a few other places. The doors are marked as is the bonnet and some paint is missing in places however there are some replacement panels included with the car. The engine starts and the car drives and it has been dry stored. The car hasn’t been on the road for a while but is not beyond being put back on the road and is a very worth while project with the tasty number plate it has. The car is being sold due to one of the owners, a club member, passing away. The car is in storage in South Shropshire and viewing is strictly by appointment only. This 3500S is probably worth around £500 as it is, but the number plate is worth a lot more and makes the restoration a very attractive proposition to a real P6 enthusiast therefore offers around £1500 would be considered appropriate. Any technical questions about the car can be referred to Mark Gray, Editor (number at the front of the magazine) who has seen the car and took the pictures. The owner is open to sensible offers for the car but will not part or sell separately to the spares, however she would like to the car to go to an enthusiat who will spend some TLC on it and restore it to the road. • FOR SALE Looking for a new and caring owner. 1969 Rover 2000 PFW97G.

This car has been in the same family since new. City Grey with beige leather interior. Regularly serviced, with genuine 85 000 miles. It has almost a full years MOT and road tax. Tool kit and towing wiring in new condition.

Also the owner's manual, optional equipment guide and distributors list, in their folder as new. Many old MOT certificates, service sheets and insurance details available. This car is an excellent collectors motor. It has always been kept in a garage and I and my father before me have always kept it in full running order. £1500.

  1973 Rover 2000TC, Almond Yellow with tan leather interior. Power steering. S' wheel trims. Tow bar. MOT till February 2008, taxed till July 2008. Just come back from Jim Brown at Ely Service with new rear discs, pads, caliper kit, wheel bearings, new steering arm, heater hose, outer sill covers resprayed black (inner sills are fine, base unit very solid). Its a lovely car to drive, its been my daily transport since I bought it in January last year, I'm reluctant to part with the old girl but I've just bought a nice P5B Coupe and need the room!   Six previous owners, the last one being a Vicar who changed the cars colour from its original Monza Red to Almond Yellow during his ownership - it featured on the cover of Classic Cars in February '97 in this guise, since then its had repalcement doors and wings from another car (a '75 V8) hence the colour change, this work being done by Colin Gould of Kingsdown Classics near Swindon, who looked after the car for many years. Comes with a stack of old MOTs and bills going back to 1976.

  Body / paintwork very nice, the only blemishes are a mark on the o/side rear door where some kind soul has knocked against it with their door, a small mark on the front edge of the bonnet and some bubbling around the circular badge on top of the boot though this hasn't spread at all since I bought the car. None of these marks detract from the overall appearence and I've just added some close up photos of them to the above link. The door bottoms are fine, I had two of them done when I bought the car last year. Chrome is good all round too.

  Interior is tidy with some discolouration to the tops of the seats, usual P6 problem. Also the stitching has come away at the front of the drivers seat base (see photo). And the clock actually works!

   A very nice usable P6 with plenty of work already done - just wants to be driven and enjoyed. Price now £1750 ono.  contact NIGEL

• This is a very much loved, tax exempt 1972 model sporting saloon in 
  very rare factory manual ‘S’ form. Only 22,000-odd were made and very 
  few remain on the road or in any kind of decent shape. With 67k 
  recorded miles and August 2008 MOT it is one of the better examples 
  out there.  We have had it for ten years and it was a reliable daily 
  driver for some time. Genuine, very reluctant sale as new 
  responsibilities mean we cannot keep up our classic car hobby 
  properly.  This is one of the best specified models with power 
  steering and sandalwood leather interior. Many many thousands have 
  been spent on her and we have a tonne of history.  New sills, clutch, 
  Lumenition electronic ignition, very strong and smooth rolling road 
  tuned engine. Far, far too many new parts to list.  Base unit is 
  strong and other than the sills unwelded. Panels are also good - a 
  couple of bubbles on the nearside wing and areas to touch up etc as 
  too be expected.  Very strong mechanically and just needs a small

• FOR SALE 1975 Rover P6 3500 Automatic. 69k miles. Tobacco leaf with white cloth interior. Garaged all of its live with two owners in the same family. Ziebarted from new and the quality shows. The car has a few bubbles under the paint but nothing major and will need one little bit of welding for the MOT on the rear passenger side splash panel (see picture in gallery, click on image above to go to the gallery). The car has 4 goods tyres and runs well. The brakes all appear to work and all in all the car is very tidy. The car comes with the hard back 2 part workshop manuals and some original paperwork including teh Ziebart certificate and routine check paperwork over its first 4 years (very rare). The windows are all sundim and the front screen is laminated (complete with sticker). the tool rool is present in the carpeted boot. With a little TLC this would be an extremely good looking car and would make a superb addition to any household. •   I am writing you because I guess there might be some interest in my
  Rover P6 2200 TC from 1975.The car is in Germany - now.
  I bought her in England in March, drove her to Germany ( 700 Miles  + around 1000 Miles in Germany without any fault).
  The car is still registered in England and a normal englisch car - taxed and MOT till 01 2009 - Plate KVR 254P The milage is around 34.000. There are changes in my personal plans - we have the chance to buy a house - so I want to sell her only to good hands. The car was not used the last 12 years  - in 1995 and 1996 nearly *19.000 GBP!!*! (I have all the invoices) were spent in the car at classic car restortion Nigel Pocock. She is absolutely rustfree - good paint, fully rebuilt motor (additionally - not includes in the 19.000 GBP) - stainless steal exhaust with guarantee, new clutch, rear suspension rebult. There are fotos from the restortion. The car still looks as if just restored. I would sell the car for 5500 GBP just what I payed for her. I could also bring her to England for additional 300 GBP (just ferry + petrol). Maybe the car is of some interest for the clubmembers. It is certanly one of the best P6 existing.
